Sharing the wall

  • Do not climb directly above or below someone else
  • Wait your turn - let a climber finish before starting near them
  • Step back from a route or boulder when you are resting so others can try

Keeping it safe for everyone

  • Keep bouldering mats clear - no sitting, bags, or standing under climbers
  • Look up before walking across a bouldering area
  • Brush off holds and pick up belongings; tidy chalk spills

Being a good climbing citizen

  • No unsolicited "beta spraying" - let others work things out unless they ask
  • Cheer people on; climbing culture is encouraging by default
  • Listen to staff and follow gym rules without fuss

Teaching kids kindly

Model the behaviour rather than just correcting. A quick "let’s wait for them to finish" teaches more than a telling-off. Kids who learn etiquette early become the climbers everyone is happy to share a session with.
